Davis Cup - 03/04/08

I ruled myself out of Germany's quarterfinal tie against Spain after my defeat in the first round of the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships to Spaniard David Ferrer 6:3 6:0. I underwent another shoulder operation at the end of 2007 and I don't have enough time to recover my form. The best players should be on the team. I don't know how I will be physically in five weeks and I have got to live with that. I was slow. Germany have the home court advantage but Spain (with Rafael Nadal playing) have the ranking edge. It's obvious.

3rd victory in Memphis - 02/26/07

After 1999 and 2006 I won the tournament in Memphis for the third time. The final against Andy Roddick was one of my best matches in my career. After 62 minutes I beat him 6:3, 6:2. I didn´t have one single breakpoint in the whole tournament. So, I´m very pleased the way I played. For the first time in my career I was able to defend the title one year later.

Semi-finals reached at the Australian Open - 01/29/07

After 1999 and 2002 have I reached the semi-finals at the Australian Open for the third time in my career. Even thought the defeat against Fernando Gonzales with 1:6, 3:6 and 1:6 clearly fell out, I am satisfied with the start of 2007. After more than four years, I stand again for the first time under the Top-10 of the world. Through Albert Montanes, Illia Bozolja, Florian Mayer, David Nalbandian and Nikolay Davydenko did I end up in the semi-finals of the first Grand Slam Tournament of the year.

3rd tournament victory in 2006 - 07/31/06

Los Angeles. That was a tough final: after 2:04 hours I beat Dimitiry Tursunov 4:6, 7:5 and 6:3. That was my 2nd victory in LA, the 10th in my career. For the third time I won a hard-court tournament in the US in 2006 after the victories in Delray Beach and Memphis.

Last match against Andre Agassi - 03/14/06

That was a special moment in my career. I played Andre in Indian Wells 2006 for the last time. I´m sure, that all the players will realize the end of his career finally in 2007. When I was 13, I met Andre for the first time at the IMG Tennis Academy. I needed a couple of years to become a real oponent for him. And so, I´m proud to beat him in the last year of his career. Our head to head is 4:6 from my sight.

Memphis: 9th title on the ATP Tour - 02/27/06

In the final of Memphis I beat Robin Soderling 6:3, 6:2 in about one hour. I´m really proud of the way I played this wole week.

This was my second win in Memphis at the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships. It´s the first time that I won a tournament twice: 1999 and 2006. With this victory I clinched consecutive titles for the second time in my career. 2001 I won the titles in Vienna and at the ATP Masters Series event in Stuttgart. So, I am really pleased the way I play, currently. The semies against Julien Benneteau from France and the final vs Robin Soderling were just great matches.

Delray Beach: 8th victory in my career - 02/05/06

After a break of one year and seven month, I`m able to win my next tournament on the ATP tour.

Delray Beach. After 2:11 hours I made the match point against Xavier Malisse from Belgium in the final of the Delray Beach International Tennis Championship: 6:3, 3:6 and 7:6(5). I´m proud and happy to win my 8th title in my career. It was my first triumph after the win in Los Angeles in July 2004.

Long partnership with Limited Sports - 12/13/05

From January 2006 on I will have an own Tommy Haas collection with Limited Sports

With the start in the new tennis season I will have an new sponsor. I´m glad that my German manager, Stefan Füg, could finalize this contract in December. Limited Sports is a German company. For years they are sponsoring the German Davis Cup team.

For me it´s a new step of partnership in my career: I´m involved into the product development of the clothes. I´ll be involved into the design. And at the end, I´m just proud to wear my first Tommy Haas collection in 2006.

Comeback at the Siebel Open in San Jose - 02/09/04

After a break of 467 days, I played my first match on tour in San Jose against Vince Spadea.

To lose this match 4:6, 2:6 was not a big surprise when you haven´t played 15 month on tour. That´s a long,long time. The weakest part of my game was my serve. I was not able to hit at least one ace.
